Introduction to Photo-Voice with the Yellow Ribbon Social Club

In May and June, members of the Yellow Door’s Yellow Ribbon Social Club participated in a photo-voice workshop designed for seniors interested in learning new technologies to share stories with other generations. Over five two-hour sessions, participants learned how to develop scripts, scan and locate images, and create and edit short videos using Windows Live Movie Maker. RECLAIM Videos Winter 2010

Participants from RECLAIM Literacy Council who took part in last fall's video workshops returned to
the library for a second, intensive program. Workshops took place over three full Saturdays during
the month of February, participants focused on building narratives with their footage.

Cote-des-Neiges Black Community Association, Net 4 Life

Youth participants from the Cote-des-Neiges Black Community Association’s Net 4 Life Program learned about and created their own personal blogs. The goal of the workshop series was to teach participants the skills to express themselves in an online environment. Nicole's Blog Troy's Blog

James Lyng High School Video Projects Fall 2009

Two James Lyng students participated in a media awareness themed video workshop facilitated by new media and video artist Lynn Worrell. Part of the workshop involved taking a field trip to CUTV to learn how to do green screen. Check out the videos they made!
