Robin


Robin Kelley

Robin Kelley is the coordinator of the Digital Literacy Project and the Fostering an Information Society Project at Atwater Library and Computer Centre. An interdisciplinary artist with a background in education and librarianship, Robin is a member of the Montreal chapter of Radical Reference and a Writing Our Rhymes Down curriculum development volunteer. Robin is an advocate for creative community-based education and literacy efforts and radical librarianship!




Assistant Project Coordinator

Arwen


Arwen Fleming

Arwen Fleming is the assistant coordinator of the Digital Literacy Project and the Fostering an Information Society Project at Atwater Library and Computer Centre. She believes that education is a fundamental right and advocates for accessible, creative and free community-based education. She is a musician and sound artist with skills in videography, sound and web design.

Zohar


Zohar Kfir

Zohar moved to Montreal from NYC where she worked as a medical animator and videographer. She is a video artist whose work includes experimental video, installation and interactive art and has shown her video works in galleries and video festivals internationally. She is now completing her MFA in Open Media at Concordia University in Montréal and holds a BFA in Digital Media from Camera Obscura School of Arts in Tel Aviv and a MPS Degree from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University.




James


James Irwin

James Irwin writes songs, poems, and stories. He is nearly finished an album of songs and a book of poems. He’ s
spent much of the last year traveling and touring, and much of it in Montreal writing and working on music. It’ s a good life, and he figures he’ ll continue on just like this for a while.




Victoria


Victoria Nam

Victoria studied film and cultural studies at McGill University, and media arts at the New School in Greenwich Village. She is an advocate for media democracy, accessible education, and social justice. She is passionate about art, people, and the natural world. She seeks poetry in every day experience, and absolutely digs teaching and working with the Digital Literacy Project and its partners. She makes sound image art.




Nina


Nina Pariser

Nina Pariser is a facilitator at the Digital Literacy Project. She is currently studying Art Education at Concordia University and is very enthusiastic about digital photography and video, having done video and stop animation classes for 3 years in elementary schools across Montreal(as part of the EMSB after school program), as well as Nain and Happy Valley Goose Bay, Labrador (as part of the Labrador Creative Arts Festival). Nina enjoys all mediums of art, but so far photography has been her focus. She has exhibited her digital prints at the VAV gallery and the Lillian Rodriguez Gallery.




Skye


Skye Maule-O'Brien

Skye's interests lie in raising social consciousness and transformative learning through critical inquiry and creative-based education. Her approach is based in an anti-oppression pedagogy and works to create more inclusive environments and programming. She holds a BFA in Art History and is currently finishing her Masters in the Educational Studies at Concordia University. Her research focus is on accessible education that promotes community knowledge building in artist-run centres and looks at how race, gender, sexuality, ability,socio-economic status, etc, intersect and inform our identities and realities. Skye is involved in both curriculum development and workshop facilitation with the DLP!

Tania Franco

Tania Franco is a librarian/archivist in Montreal (MLIS 2010) who blogs for the DLP about anything and everything related to digital literacy, new media, libraries and creative community projects. Tania, a member of the Montreal chapter of Rad Ref, likes reading, writing, and riding bikes.
